About Us
Title: The purpose of establishing Hoops Elite Academy is to provide a platform for more players to show and develop their passion and dream for basketball.

CK TAN is helping to coach a group of players who have just entered middle school for nearly 5 months for free. On coaching test day, CK TAN met KS YAP, who were taking the coaching license test together. The following is their conversation.
Ck: These are your former students?
Ks: Yes, they're from my school.
Ck: They're quite good; why don't you continue to coach them?
Ks: I don't have the time to do so, plus I don't have experience coaching middle school players.
Ck: Why don't you and me coach them together? It's such a waste for them to stay here without a team.
Ks: Are you serious about this? If yes, I will try to invite them to join us.
Ck: Of course! When the time comes, you will recruit players, and I will coach them. Let's work together to allow players to show their passion for basketball on multiple platforms. Don’t just limit where strong players can play; weak players will be eliminated. I don't like this kind of mindset that other coaches have. I believe that every player can be trained to be good; it’s just a matter of time and the dedication the coach puts in.

With this simple yet good idea, the HOOPS ELITE ACADEMY was established 🏀.
In this passionate moment, we decided to form a basketball team of our own with enthusiasm and courage! Basketball is not only a sport but also a spirit and a symbol of teamwork. On the court, we are not just athletes but a family, encouraging and supporting each other and chasing the basketball dream together.
Establishing a basketball team means that we will face various challenges and difficulties, but these challenges will make us grow and keep moving forward.
In the first two months, the coaches provided free coaching without any charges. But problems gradually emerged. The attendance rate was not good. Because there were no fee charges, the players started to attend the training when they felt like it. We also faced the cost of renting a venue, training equipment, and other expenses.
The first challenge is the team's funding, participation fees, jersey costs, revenue renting fees, and other miscellaneous expenses.
The second challenge is that many of the players have zero basic skills. Some players cannot handle the ball or pass the ball, let alone shoot and make layups.
We will start everything with the basics and gradually build a strong team with training. On the basketball court, we can only chase our dreams and get glory with sweat, tears, and hard work!
We are not just a group of young people chasing their basketball dreams, but also a group of teammates, mentors, and friends who encourage each other to grow together. Our goal is not only to win the game but also to exercise our quality of will, cultivate the spirit of teamwork, and let every team member shine on the basketball court.
Come and join our team; you will experience the power of teamwork, and you will gain friendship and growth. The good atmosphere of training makes everyone feel that they are important to each other. Whether you are a novice or a veteran player, as long as you have a basketball dream, we welcome you to join Hoops Elite Academy 🏀.

Achievements
All competitions in which we participated in 2023.
Hoops Elite are not asking players to pay fees, including competition registration fees, jersey fees, venue rental fees, and other miscellaneous expenses.
The academy did not put any financial pressure on players to participate in competitions, so the academy found sponsors to pay for competition expenses without asking for money from players or parents. We just hope that the players train well and hard to repay and be grateful for everything the academy has given.
